Destiny 4 – SRHS 3: The Eagles Jr. High baseball team travelled to Globe to take on Destiny on Wednesday night and found themselves in a pitcher’s duel. The Eagles scratched out 3 runs on a first inning homerun from Rob Norris and another timely hit by Lucas Seepie in the second inning. After the early innings the Eagle’s bats went cold and they were unable to tack on any more runs. A few throwing and fielding errors cost the Eagles a win as Destiny broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the 6th when, with a man on second, a Destiny hitter tripled to deep center to end the game at 4-3. Rob Norris pitched another great game as he battled all day and struck out several batters but the hard-luck loss dropped his season record to 2-1. The loss also drops the Eagles record to 3-1 on the season.
